Kofola-Hoop has a new co-owner – Enterprise Investors acquired 42.5% of Kofola-HOOP S.A. shares in a tender offer on the Warsaw Stock Exchange
The aggregate value of the transaction in which CED Group – fully controlled by Polish Enterprise Fund VI, a private equity fund managed by Enterprise Investors – acquired a 42.45% block of Kofola-Hoop S.A. shares amounted to PLN 480,036,628.80. "Enterprise Investors, which has been operating since 1990, is one of the biggest investors in Central Europe. Investing in Kofola-Hoop, Enterprise Investors saw a rapidly developing and well-managed company with huge potential, which it could support with its professionalism and financial expertise,” says Vassilen Tzanov, President of Hoop Polska’s Management Board. Most of the shares (57%) are still held by the Samaras family (KSM Investment) and the minority shareholders: Rene Musila and Tomas Jendrejek. The tender offer for shares in Kofola-Hoop took place in the period between October 8th and November 6th 2008 and was one of the biggest tender offers to have ever been announced on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
